WATCH THE MOVIE

IT'S THE COLDEST PLACE ON EARTH. BUT ON FEBRUARY 11TH 2018, TAMARA LUNGER AND SIMONE MORO COMPLETED ITS FIRST-EVER WINTER SUMMIT.

Standing 3003m tall, Gora Pobeda towers above the Mounts Cerskij Range in Siberia—the world's coldest inhabited region. Near the peak, Tamara and Simone undertook a technical steep mix climb, knowing a rescue would have been impossible if they fell.

Climbing in the warmest jacket The North Face has ever created, they summitted in just over 7 hours. In total, Tamara and Simone covered 27.3km and 3003mt elevation.

When she was a 14-year old girl, she announced that one day she would climb an 8,000m mountain. She remained true to her word.

“It was cold but thankfully cloud cover was in our favour, warding off the extreme temperatures”
